While ice is considered safe at 4" thick, we always wait until it is 6-8"
No ice is ever truly safe
Never fish on the ice alone
Make sure your safety equipment is always accessible
You may use 2 rods per 1 license when ice fishing
When in doubt, don't go out!

Q: When can I fish?
A: We are in Zone 18 and Zone 12. For the ice fishing season, Most fish open on January 1st and trout are open year-round. These dates are put in place to protect the spawning capabilities and population of our fish so that many more can enjoy them for years to come.
